We had limited time for flying, so after two regular tows, we tried step towing ...

The first step towing trial became the first towing incident (almost an accident), Kagan step towed low, glider begun to dive because of the tow cable friction, he failed to release until he is low at tree height, released and dive-turned before hitting a tree and hard landed.
